What a wonderful celebration we just experienced, 20th year Anniversary of our beloved Rockview Social Club, indeed a milestone to mark.

Congratulations to the planning committee heads, Alex McCauley, Mary Michasiw and Gail Kelly.

Co-Ordinator Mo Orford, and all our always reliable, volunteers.

Doreen Murphy and Dale Willett presented their pictures and videos on our TV, allowing many of us to walk down memory lane, featuring a vast number of past events.

Seeing so many faces, many who are no longer with us, was a great joy indeed.

The display of rocks painted by our in-house budding artists under Gail’s direction was truly lovely and enjoyed by all.

A commemorative cake and refreshments were served in the afternoon.

The City was represented by Deputy Mayor Jocelyn Landry-Altmann and our Councilor Fern Cormier who presented our Club with a lovely certificate commemorating our achievement. It will be framed and placed in the new future.

To our Landlord Andy Humber, thank you for attending (even on your wedding anniversary) and acknowledging our Club as one of the main reasons you hear from those wishing to secure accommodations at Rockview.

Ray Thoms and Doreen Murphy for capturing the day for us, thanks to you both. It will be sent out as a Blog when ready.

Without all the volunteers who worked so efficiently, none of our events could occur, so kudos to everyone for continuing to step forward, and helping to make today so special.

It was very gratifying to see a sold-out house to celebrate your Club, even the uncooperative weather, making Plan B necessary, did not spoil the day.

Well done everyone!!
