Recent trip to Quebec

Recently a number on Rockview Older Adult members travelled to Quebec.

After an overnight stay in Ottawa and a wonderful meal at Tuckers Market we proceeded to Quebec City, where we ate at the Restaurant aux Anciens Canadians, then took in a show featuring Marc Hervieux at the Capital Theatre.

Day One

Day Two

Our second day in Quebec took us through the streets of the old city, to the Citadelle, then on to Ile d’Orleans. This was the most moving part of our trip since it reconnected me to the place where a great grandfather (5 generations back) spent his first night on North American soil as a soldier in Montcalm’s army.

Day Three

We spent another night in Ottawa (and an evening at a Gatineau casino) then headed home: this time with a stop in St. Albert’s to tour their cheese factory

Happy 90th Birthday Vic

Recently Vic Venecek celebrated his 90th birthday.
A milestone that was recently celebrated with family and friends.

In this endless book we call life, every page gets filled with the adventures we live throughout. Having lived for 90 years, I am pretty sure that you have a lot of pages under your name and I truly hope that you can keep creating more!
