Today we had two events. The 50/50 draw and the cheque presentation to the Sudbury Food Bank
All the tickets sold for the 50/50 draw.
The tickets receiving a good shaking before the draw.
The amount of the winner's 50/50 share.
The name will be announced when the winner has been notified.
Next the cheque presentation to Dan Xilon, Director of the Sudbury food Bank.
The total amount was $8060.00. Dan announced that this was the largest amount ever collected for a single building donation.
He went on to explain that with a cash donation, he is able to purchase $6 of food for every dollar collected so in essence he will be able to purchase $48,000 of food.....for which he was very thankful.
